How Well Did the RC Do Its Jobs?

Here is a list of questions a competitor might use to evaluate the RC:

Courses

Given the wind direction did the courses make the most use of the available space on the river?

Where the races about 45 minutes long?

Was the start line long enough for the largest fleet (1.5 times their length end-to-end)?

Was it reasonably square given the conditions?

Was the downwind leg tactical?  I.e. did some sailors gybe?

Were the marks set up with weights so that ground tackle would not foul centerboards?

Did the RC respond efficiently to a new wind direction?

Signals

Was the first race started on time?

Were the visual and sound signals clear and in sync?

Given the available wind, the number of fleets, and the number of sailors, was downtime between races minimized?  (Did they get off a new race for one class before all the classes had finished?)

Did the RC adhere to the RRS and sailing instructions?

Safety

Did powerboats quickly get to capsized sailors?

Did the rescue boats give competent aid to capsized sailors?

Did at least one powerboat stay out until all sailors were safely home?

If there was little wind, did the RC offer to tow people home?
