The Start Line is OpenThe sailing instructions do not close the start line. If you are worried about interference, you can make the first lap a triangle to keep the early starters out of the way. Obviously, sailors coming downwind have to obey the RRS and always have to stay clear of starboard boats and if they are on port, they have to stay clear of port boats, also. If the PRO wants to close the start line see the Dick Rose article at the link below and use the language he suggests to send and email to the membership before 6:00 pm the previous evening (see the SIs about changes to them and how they are announced). |
