Wow...that's a surprise.... Nothing special....just paid attention to all the good stuff others have been writing about recently... I tried hard to pick which side I wanted to go to early then tried hard to get a good start that would allow me to do that. Getting to the 1st weather mark in the top 3 helps a lot. I'm trying to stay way forward a much as possible...I think that's real important with my weight.. Lastly, I tried to not make a killer mistake...don't try to get too greedy, don't let the fleet get to one side if I'm on the other...make good roundings...they don't have to be great...(I used to round the weather mark and pull the board up way too far initially, and I would capsize to weather half the time)...keep out of foul trouble. |
