| Thursday Night Sailing |

Last night was the best night of Laser sailing so far
this year. I don't know what the wind was blowing,
but it came at us from every direction as we sailed a
really long course out in the river. We sail until
about 8:30pm these days, so everyone should be able to
make it out for at least an hour. Believe me, it's
been worth it.
I'd like to give a shout-out and thanks to Janice and
Pat who RC'd for us. A funny thing happened...
We launched the little boat and I tried about 4 times
to get it started before Pat took over. On his 2nd
pull of the crank, out of the engine itself jumps a
mini-rat (or really ugly mouse) and its baby. Pat
says the baby was too young to swim, but the mother
made its way to one of the docks. After that, the
motor started fine. The lesson here is, look this
equipment over before using it. You may never know
what'll jump out at you.
See you this Saturday, or next Thursday!
