On the Potomac River, with Washington, DC as our backdrop, we invite you to join us at our Nation's Capitol for a weekend of fun and sailing! Stay at any one of several hotels within 3 miles of the marina. Sail in the first of a disctrict wide series of regattas. Tour the monuments, or shop in historical Old Town. There's tons to do for sailors and their families in DC. The Washington Sailing Marina is located 1 mile South of the National (Ronald Regan) Airport in Northern VA, and boasts a grand view of the National Monuments from the river. The marina has recently been repaved, making the floating docks more accessible and the 2 ramps easily managed with a dolly or trailer. Facilities include cafe, heated men and woman's restrooms, 1 men, 1 woman's shower near the cafe, marina store, parking and overnight storage of your boat. Unfortunately, camping is NOT allowed. There is a possibility that some local PRSA fleet members may be able to provide housing, please email the fleet captain for details. and instructions. Saturday, March 17th: You may arrive Friday to setup and go sailing. Or simply drop your boat off up until park closing at 11pm. Registration from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The $30.00 pre-registration fee ($35 late fee) covers donuts, juice, launch fee, dinner Saturday and dinner and awards on Sunday. Skipper's meeting at 11:00 am on Saturday Warning gun at 12:00 Noon Saturday. No races started after 4pm. After the races is Happy Hour with h'ors-d'ouvres, followed by dinner under a covered picnic area. If you need additional tickets for Happy Hour and dinner for family/friends they are: $10.00. Water and snacks are available for purchase from the marina shop next to the AfterDeck Cafe. Sunday, March 18th: Warning gun at 11am, no races after 2pm followed by with beer, hot dogs, & trophies.
