Notes

Yesterday was a great day to be out on the river to kick off the Spring Series. The winds were shifty but comfortable and the temp was just right for this old body.  THE NUDGE hopes that the other eight Albs, two Hobies and twelve Lightnings enjoyed the day as much as he did.  Did the Hamptons, Bucs and Interlakes forget to set their clocks ahead or accidentally turn them off as THE NUDGE didn't see them on the river? The RC got two good 40 minute races off before the winds collapsed and had to call it a day. Three notable observations were made; the Albs have a new guy in the fleet, Erich Hesse, who purchased Mike Cintron's 7126.  In his first competitive outing in an Alb, Erich scored a solid first in the second race.  THE NUDGE feels that he'll give Barn and Lars run for their money.  That would be most interesting! The second observation was in the Lightning Fleet with Frank taking two firsts with no beverage cooler in the boat.  THE NUDGE overheard a conversation that Frank has become very concerned about boat weight. Frank lose another 10lbs and you can have your cake and eat it (cooler that is).  The third observation was Pat falling off the stern of his Lightning while being towed.  THE NUDGE won't further embarrass Pat by telling you what he was doing on the stern. The driver of the 16 footer quickly shut down while Pat was being hauled back aboard by his crew. All in all it was a great day.
