Notes

The RC managed some reasonable racing, despite a shifty North/Northeast wind.  They set up the start line close to the airport radar tower and the windward mark on the edge of the channel.  This gave a very short final beat from the leeward mark, but allowed a reasonable length for the first windward leg.  Having a short last beat didn't really damage the competition (in effect the race is to see who gets the best last downwind mark rounding) and given the short cross river course that was the best option (unless one if prepared to have separate start and finish lines).  The RC ran four four leg windward leeward races, all in similar conditions (0-8 kts, flat water slight upstream current).
