April 5 - Saturday- Spring Icebreaker Regatta, races in the cove or near the power plant. Skipper’s meeting at 12:00. First race at 12:40. Chili and soup afterwards. (Low tide at 2:01 PM) Sailing Instructions.

April 13 Sunday – Spring Series starts. Races off of Haines Point. Skipper’s meeting at 10:00 a.m. First warning signal at 11:30. Picnic afterwards. Sailing Instructions

May 3 & 4 - Doc Gilbert Memorial Potomac Cup, for Lightnings and Hamptons, races at Leesylvania State Park. (RC-Lightnings) Skipper’s meeting Saturday at 10:30. First warning signal at noon. Sunday the first race is at 10:00.

November 16 Sundays - Laser Winter Series starts and continues through Sunday March 15, 2009 with the exception of November 23, December 21 and Dec 28. Skipper's meeting at noon. First race at 12:30. No races after 3:00. Social in Afterdeck Cafe.
